The Korea Expressway Transportation Corporation announced on the 24th that it held the first advisory meeting with the appointment ceremony of the 2022 Policy Advisory Group (management strategy division).

The newly appointed advisory committee members are Professor Shin Yoon-chang of Kangwon National University, Professor Kim Seung-tak of Sangji University, Professor Kang So-young of Konkuk University, Kang Gap-saeng of JoongAng Ilbo, and Han Moon-chul, CEO of Jajidocom. The public corporation’s policy advisory group consists of seven subcommittees (management strategy, ESG management, safety and ethics, safety projects, education and license projects, broadcasting projects, and research projects). In addition, 34 experts from all walks of life, including transportation, high-tech, educational psychology, medical expertise, disaster safety, law, and the media, will participate. The corporation plans to hold appointment ceremonies and meetings for each subcommittee this month.

Road Traffic Authority Appoints Policy Advisory Group to Reduce Traffic Accidents

At the first meeting following the appointment ceremony of the policy advisory group, advice was given on “how to drastically reduce traffic accident deaths in response to rapidly changing internal and external traffic environments” and “response measures to realize sustainable management of the corporation.” “We will have time to ask ourselves whether the corporation is on the right path through advice seeking opinions from policy advisors,” said the chairman of the Migrant Road Traffic Authority. “We will try to create a safe and happy world for the people from traffic accidents by reflecting the advice.”

Meanwhile, the policy advisory group will contribute to the creation of traffic safety policies and industrial complexes for the public by providing expertise and information on traffic safety policy directions and pending issues necessary for the management of the complex.
