Uiseong-gun receives donations from children’s safety umbrella to prevent traffic accidents

Uiseong-gun announced on the 22nd that it donated an umbrella (300 units/equivalent to 1.3 million won) to prevent traffic accidents for children at Hongiksa Temple.

Children’s umbrellas donated on the same day will be distributed to children aged 5 years, 1st to 3rd graders at local children’s centers, and Dream Start children. It is designed to secure a forward view when walking on a rainy road using transparent material, and it is marked on the umbrella that the speed limit of the children’s protection zone (school zone) road is 30km per hour.

The Children’s Anti-Umbrella is expected to not only prevent accidents in advance but also promote school zone safe driving rules by securing visibility when children vulnerable to traffic accidents in case of rain.

Hong Sang-gil, CEO of Hong Ik-sa, said, “We look forward to reducing the worries of parents who are worried about their children’s way to school and the House of Representatives on rainy days.”
