Five organizations, including the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, TBN Gwangju Transportation Broadcasting, Gwangju Autonomous Police Committee, Gwangju Green Mothers’ Association, and the Gwangju Jeonnam Branch of the Road Traffic Authority, signed a business agreement on the 24th.
These institutions decided to gather various opinions on traffic safety of children and help local governments come up with safety measures.
Gwangju Transportation Broadcasting decided to produce various radio programs to prevent traffic accidents for children in the school zone.
Superintendent of Education Jang Hwi-guk said, “We hope that this business agreement will zero traffic accidents related to our children in the school zone,” adding, “The city’s education office will do its best to cooperate with related agencies and strengthen related education to create Gwangju, where there are no children’s traffic accidents.”
