BMW 7 series, drastic transformation.

BMW’s new flagship 7 series is set to change generations through drastic changes. It will be equipped with a family look design that will lead a generation, a next-generation platform that encompasses electric vehicles, and a level 3 autonomous driving system.

According to foreign media such as AMS on the 22nd (local time), BMW unveiled its 7th generation 7 series this year and will compete in earnest with the Benz S-Class. It is the first flagship sedan to be unveiled in seven years since the current 6th generation was released in 2015.

Unlike last year, the 7 series, which is currently nearing the end of development, has a light camouflage and can check some of its designs. The details that have been hidden, such as a clearly revealed detachable headlamp, a vertical kidney grill, a hidden door catch, and a thin tail lamp applied for the first time in the 4 series, are gradually revealed.

Unlike the S-Class, which has a traditional three-box design, the 7 Series, which has a long nose short deck silhouette like a sports sedan, will take a unified strategy from internal combustion engines to electric vehicles with one design.

The first electric vehicle i7 in the 7 series will also have the same design characteristics as the same platform, with Benz’s complete separation of the design of the S class and the electric vehicle EQS.

According to the foreign media, the 7 series will be equipped with a total of eight or more new powertrains, including diesel, gasoline, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicle. As the V12 engine disappears at the end of this generation, the position of the aircraft carrier class will be replaced by the V8 Twin Turbo.

The series 6-cylinder 3.0-liter gasoline and diesel engines exhibit a maximum output of 275 to 375 horsepower. The V84.4L turbo engine can select a variety of outputs as it burps up to 545-635 horsepower, and all internal combustion engine engines apply a 48V mild hybrid system.
